This repository contains the PKGBUILDs of Cutefish Desktop environment in MPR (Makedeb Package Repository) . If there is problem with each of them, please submit an issue and explain the problem.

Installation

Tap

These packages are available in MPR. You can install them easily with your Tap helper of choice.

Mpm

These packages are available in MPR. You can install them easily with your Mpm helper of choice.

Local build

makedeb takes PKGBUILD files and creates Debian packages installable with APT.

To build a package, you need to clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/cutefishos-ubuntu/mpr-packages.git

Download and install makedeb

Using Tap or Mpm

Tap:

tap install makedeb

Mpm:

mpm install makedeb

From the official repository:

First, add the signing key:

wget -qO - 'https://proget.hunterwittenborn.com/debian-feeds/makedeb.pub' | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee /usr/share/keyrings/makedeb-archive-keyring.gpg &> /dev/null

Next, add the repository information to your system:

echo 'deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/makedeb-archive-keyring.gpg arch=all] https://proget.hunterwittenborn.com/ makedeb main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/makedeb.list

Lastly, update the repository cache on your system:

sudo apt update

Install makedeb

sudo apt install makedeb

Building the package:

Open the folder with the required package and run the makedeb command in the terminal

For detailed instructions use the command makedeb --help

Cutefish repository

CutefishOS package repository and all required dependencies.

Package manager

Alternative package manager for Cutefish repository. The new package manager will allow you to quickly install updates that will be rolled out according to the Rolling Release model.

How to use:
Usage: tap (command) (packages/options)
For example:
tap install cutefish-core
Use without sudo

Commands:
install - Install packages
update, upgrade - Update packages
search - Search for packages
list-packages - List installed packages built from the MPR

Options:
-e, –min-info Print extra information when using ‘search’
-h, –help Bring up this help menu
-L, –skip-less-pipe Don’t pipe output from ‘list-packages’ into ‘less’ when output is taller than the terminal height
-R, –rev-alpha Sort results from ‘search’ and ‘list-packages’ from Z-A instead of A-Z
-V, –version Print version information and exit

Calamares

Updated Calamares with Qt shell, fixed flags, default Brtfs markup in automatic mode. Option to enable/disable Swap

zRam

zRam by default with automatic configuration during system installation.

PipeWire

PipeWire is also configured by default to work correctly, in the alternative settings center, additional settings for PipeWire have been added

Cutefish-Ubuntu v0.1.1 Beta - Developer Edition

Added keyboard layout handler, keyboard layout applet.

The CutefishOS package base has been updated to version 3.1-1.

Added programs for working with media files - images, audio, video.

Fixed integration errors PulseAudio, PipeWire.

Temporarily added a third-party file manager “Index” while the standard one is being finalized - which is also included in the assembly.

Added a graphical editor for SDDM to customize and customize the login screen.

Added torrent client Transmission-QT.

Cutefish Ubuntu v0.1 Beta - Developer Edition

The first beta version of the Cutefish built on Ubuntu distribution. An assembly includes a standard set of package and developer libraries that have been compiled and installed from the developer source. Related bugs and package dependencies have also been fixed.
